| The following pictures were take on January
15th 2005. The settings are Mohawk Dam (Coshocton County, Ohio) and The White Oak Inn on
Rt. 715 in Knox County Ohio. The Inn is 8 miles behind Mohawk Dam...keep that in mind when
you look at the pictures from around the Inn. The pictures looking through the trees and
out onto the lake are taken from the front yard of the Inn and they are beautiful. That
lake was a soybean field last week. The reservoir behind the dam is massive and can only
be appreciated by surveying the flood water in person. Although some of these pictures are
indeed beautiful, it is also total devastation to some. The ends of the roads which are
pictured are 50 feet and one mile from the White Oak, there is only one very narrow dirt
road leading in and out. Click on the image to enlarge... |
